Independent consultant as owner of VGA.expert GmbH. Consultancy services for various Swiss utilities, contribution to the training of junior employees in the Swiss nuclear sector.
Senior consultant, member of nuclear power plant management team and representative of BKW on various technical panels, such as technical advisory board of NAGRA, operational advisory board of ZWILAG and several task forces of Swissnuclear. Furthermore, member of the programme committee of the international symposium on “Conditioning of radioactive operational and decommissioning wastes” as well as a permanent guest member of the working panel “Decommissioning” of the German VGB PowerTech.
Member of the power plant management team at Mühleberg nuclear power plant as the manager of the newly formed Surveillance department, responsible for nuclear fuel, physics, chemistry, radiation protection and radioactive waste. Management of approx. 50 employees.

Employee at Siemens AG (or Kraftwerk Union) in Karlstein am Main, manufacture of in core instrumentations for boiling water and pressurised water reactors, mechanical nuclear installations, such as control rod drives for boiling water reactors and severe incident instrumentations for nuclear power plants.

Promotion to Dr. rer. nat. with the dissertation “Measurement of the radius of nuclear charge distribution of 4He and of the radius difference of He-isotopes by electron scattering with small impulse transfer”.
Radiation protection physicist for the linear electron accelerator at Technical University Darmstadt with assignment as radiation protection officer according to the radiation protection act by the chancellor of Technical University Darmstadt.
Scientific employee at the Technical University Darmstadt, working in the institute for technical nuclear physics in a working group on the Darmstadt linear electron accelerator.
Completion of physics studies at the Swiss Federal Technical University (Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule, ETH) in Zürich as dipl. Phys. ETH with the diploma thesis developed at the Cern in Geneva “Precision measurement of the myonic transition 5g – 4f in the mercury as a test of the vacuum – polarization”.
