Expertise regarding organisation of missions

Based on this experience, VGA.expert can support operators of nuclear installations and in particular those of nuclear power plants in the following respects:

Advice regarding the handling of international organisations, on the one hand to ensure that the international expert team indeed delivers desirable and suitable improvement potential, but also that the culture of the organisation being assessed is taken into account.

Advice regarding the preparation of such missions, e.g. around

• Putting together the information to be provided to assessment team before the mission, the so-called Information Package;
• preparing the staff so that the persons under assessment display the required openness towards the external experts, allowing joint discussion and improvements to be identified constructively;
• Preparing a plan, which allows the limited time of the mission to be used optimally, i.e. that all discussions required for a successful mission are considered, but also that there is the opportunity for informal mutually beneficial information exchange between the representatives of the plant and the external experts.

Support during the mission, especially regarding

• checking the improvement measures identified by the expert team for feasibility and compatibility with the culture of the power plant operator.

Advice after the mission regarding

Implementation of the suggestions resulting from the mission so that the improvement potential is realised in the best possible way without excessive cost.
